So we need to get to work if we’re going to hold our House majority in 2022, defend our democracy, and re-elect my friend Carolyn Bourdeaux. By mobilizing voters across the state we were able to elect Carolyn — a fighter for Georgia’s working families — and flip Georgia’s 7th district from red to blue. Together we delivered President Biden the White House and won a majority in the Senate. This didn’t happen by chance — we made it happen.

I know we can do it again. Our grassroots movement proved that Georgia is not a red or purple state — it’s a state of hardworking people who will always rally behind leaders that have our true interests at heart.

Carolyn played a critical role in our successes.

But Republicans are hellbent on taking the majority and destroying our democracy at any chance they get. They consistently attack the right to vote. Nationwide, Republican state lawmakers have introduced over 400 anti-voter bills to try and diminish our success.

The GOP’s attacks on our democracy prove just how essential it is that we hold our House majority and keep Georgia’s 7th district blue.

We need leaders like Carolyn in the House who will stand up against the GOP’s shameless attacks on our democracy and voters. Carolyn will hold the GOP accountable and protect and expand the right to vote.
