Hi Friend,

Republicans in Congress are going into the final rounds of negotiations with President Biden and the Democrats on the infrastructure package.

But the biggest sticking item is properly defining what infrastructure IS before deciding on what will be covered in the hefty bill.

Do you think the infrastructure package should include NON-infrastructure-related items?

According to Merriam-Webster dictionary:

Infra- means "below;" so the infrastructure is the "underlying structure" of a country and its economy, the fixed installations that it needs in order to function. These include roads, bridges, dams, the water and sewer systems, railways and subways, airports, and harbors. These are generally government-built and publicly owned. Some people also speak about such things at the intellectual infrastructure or the infrastructure of science research, but the meaning of such notions can be extremely vague.

Democrats want the infrastructure package to include everything under the sun, from social issues to free college to climate change matters.

It’s important that YOU speak out about where your hard-earned money goes, especially when it comes to infrastructure items that we all use.

Take this quick 1-question poll to share your thoughts on infrastructure.

Thanks,

Heather Madden
