We’re back on the subway, and this time we’re going to make a pit stop in Brooklyn before heading towards Queens!

Over in Brooklyn, we’re proud to endorse our ranked choice #1 pick, Rita Joseph [[link removed]] . Rita is running to represent District 40, which comprises Crown Heights, East Flatbush, Flatbush, Kensington, Midwood, Prospect Park, and Prospect Lefferts Gardens. She is a first generation Haitian American, and has a long history of activist leadership. From leading a protest at 19 years old against the FDA's discriminatory "bad blood" rules that prevented people of Haitian descent from donating blood to being a fierce advocate for her students as a public school teacher, Rita is a fighter! Our #2 choice is community leader Josué Pierre [[link removed]] . He’s a first generation Haitian American with years of civic leadership. In District 25, meet our #1 ranked choice endorsee, Shekar Krishnan [[link removed]] , a community activist and civil rights lawyer specializing in fighting housing disrimination and preventing community displacement. Over in District 26 is #NALpista and our #1 choice, Julie Won [[link removed]] , who is running to represent the neighborhoods of Sunnyside, Woodside, Long Island City, Astoria, and Dutch Kills. Julie is a tenant, immigrant, and activist fighting for the basic needs of all New Yorkers. She has been a fierce advocate for dignified, affordable housing and has stood up for racial justice, in addition to being a leader in technology transformation. Additionally, our #2 choice, Amit Singh Bagga [[link removed]] is running in District 26. Amit is a native New Yorker, and proud to be queer, South Asian, the son of immigrants, and a product of NYC public schools. Lastly in District 32, we have Felicia Singh [[link removed]] , who is running to represent the neighborhoods of Neponsit, Roxbury, Ozone Park, Breezy Point, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, Lindenwood, Howard Beach, Belle Harbor, Broad Channel, Rockaway Park, Rockaway Beach, South Ozone Park, and West Hamilton Beach.
