Friend,

The January 6th U.S. Capitol insurrection was horrific and avoidable, incited by a defeated president unable to come to terms with his electoral loss.

Congress has a duty to make sure history never repeats itself, and that starts with a full, bipartisan investigation to find out the truth about the events of that day. Unfortunately, many of my Republican colleagues recently voted against establishing a bipartisan commission to fully investigate the security failures and actions that led to the January 6th insurrection.

This is completely unacceptable. Will you sign my petition calling on Senate Republicans to stop filibustering the January 6th commission?

We must not shirk our responsibility to find answers for this tragedy. We owe accountability to the American people. Nothing less will suffice.

This commission is about more than answers and accountability. It’s also about demonstrating to the world that democracy is resilient and enduring.

Please join me in calling on Senate Republicans to put country over party and end their filibuster of the January 6th commission.
