We’re committed to fighting for a nominee who will advance our priorities Indivisibles,
$125 MILLION -- that’s how much the Trump campaign and the RNC raised just last quarter to re-elect Trump in 2020.
Even for a dark-money-funded Republican, that’s a huge amount of money.
And we know exactly how Trump and his allies are going to use it. They’ve already gotten started: this money is going to go directly towards attacking the Democratic nominee and attacking progressive activists.
Indivisibles built the 2018 Blue Wave: we know how to win, even when we’re outspent. And we’ve got a plan for next year, which we’ll tell you about below. But to put our plan into motion, we need grassroots funding. We don’t have Trump’s special interest backers -- we only have you: if you’re already on board to counter the Trump campaign’s massive fundraising push, donate right now to help Indivisible Action elect a progressive president and support all our work.
We know you’re probably getting a lot of fundraising messages from a lot of different places right now -- there are still 19 candidates in the Democratic primary, after all!
So we want to take a second to remind you about our 2020 plan and how your gift of $10 will factor into that plan. Our strategy involves three key steps:
- Weaken Trump in Washington -- building pressure from local groups across the country and pushing back against the Trump administration’s reactionary agenda
- Nominate the best candidate -- keeping the primary constructive and focused on the issues and encouraging candidates to take bold progressive stances
- Use our grassroots power to win -- transforming the traditional narrative of “electability” and seeking progressive wins up and down the ballot in every corner of the country
This plan is our roadmap to victory next year, and we’re building all the tools we need to make it happen. But these resources don’t come for free. Here’s a look at a few of the expenses we’re budgeting for:
- ActionKit -- This is our mass emailing tool. Sending emails is a great way to get information, news, and explainers out to Indivisibles everywhere, but it costs us almost $8,000 a month.
- MobileCommons -- This is the tool we use to send text messages, which are one of the best ways we have to get breaking news out to Indivisibles fast -- and we expect to spend $13,500 this month alone. As the campaign heats up, we expect that cost to go up too.
- Web hosting -- Having a useful, responsive, and accessible website is essential for bringing new people into our movement, and hosting it costs $1,000 a month.
- Map tool -- Our event map connects Indivisibles and activists across the country to events near them, and keeping it live costs $1,000 a month.
Those are just some of our ongoing logistical costs, and it’s not to mention staff salaries and all the expenses we incur supporting local groups, producing resources to keep Indivisibles up to date, and working with the press and social media. All in all, we need to raise $190,000 this month to stay on track and combat the Trump campaign machine. So far, we’ve raised $44,500.
Your contribution to Indivisible will make an impact long after the primary is over. We’re committed to fighting for a nominee who will advance our priorities, and once that nominee is chosen, we’ll throw all our resources and power into getting them elected.
We’ve always been committed to refusing money from candidates, political parties, and corporations. This is a deeply held principle, and it’s perhaps more important during election cycles than any other time. But it means we rely on individual donors like you to make all our plans possible -- and our opponents don’t always operate with such strict moral codes. So, please, if you want to see our plans succeed, send us $10 today to fund the tools and work that will ensure victory in 2020.

We’re not going anywhere. We’re working right now to beat Trump and build the 2020 Blue Wave -- and once we’ve done that, we’ll continue to hold candidates and policymakers accountable and work for a progressive future that matches our values. This could be one of the most important elections of our lifetimes. We’re so glad that you’re with us.
In solidarity, Indivisible Team
