Earlier this week, the Flathead Tribal Committee elected officers, making them the second tribal committee in the nation to become completely established and hold elections. When all is said and done, Montana will have 8 Tribal Committees.
Much of this work has stemmed from the Montana Democratic Party’s Native Program, which has the sole intention of making our Democratic Party more inclusive and uplifting Native American voices in Montana. This is incredibly important work, but it does cost money.
