We are so moved by the outpouring of support this #WearOrange weekend! From the orange-clad selfies shared on social media, to the gatherings all over the country, to the activists demanding the Senate take action on gun violence, our movement has never been stronger.

But in the midst of our celebrations, a federal judge in California reminded us just how much work we still have to do. Judge Roger Benitez overturned California's longtime ban on assault weapons saying "Like the Swiss Army Knife, the popular AR-15 rifle is a perfect combination of home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment."

But it was not a Swiss Army Knife that killed 58 people at a musical festival in Las Vegas, 26 people at Sandy Hook Elementary or 50 people at Pulse nightclub five years ago this month. The AR-15 is the weapon of choice of mass shooters and we will not rest until Americans can live their lives without the fear of gun violence. Please, this #WearOrange weekend, fund our fight.
