John — I wanted to make sure you saw the email I sent last week (below).
I hate to say it, but we fell a bit short of our fundraising goal, that's why I'm reaching out to ask again: can you donate $20 today to help us win a pathway to citizenship for essential workers? [[link removed]]
We are working across the country, organizing and training domestic workers and leading a huge advocacy effort to win a pathway to citizenship for essential workers.
It’s a ton of work, and it is going to take a lot of money to pull off a victory this historical. We know that, with your support, we can push Congress and make sure citizenship for domestic workers and other essential workers and their families is a part of a just job recovery plan. Chip in $20 today and help us rise to meet this moment. [[link removed]]

John — Immigrant workers were the foundation that got the U.S. through the worst of the pandemic. Cities, states, and Congress deemed them essential. Our families depended on their care for our elderly and disabled loved ones, our kids and our homes.
It is outrageous that yesterday we said these incredible workers are essential, and tomorrow they *still* face the uncertainty, cruelty, and fear of deportation.
It is being decided right now what will be included in the jobs and economic recovery package and we want to ensure that immigrant workers are not left behind — and we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure that plan includes a pathway to citizenship for essential workers.
The next few weeks are key. So we’re helping lead a huge advocacy effort on the Hill, movement-wide mobilizations across the country, and pin-point congressional pressure campaigns to win. It’s an enormous lift, and that has financial implications, which is why I need to ask:

They are an integral part of our communities that make all other work possible.
It is deeply immoral to call immigrant workers “essential” while then excluding them from being part of the recovery process.
The Citizenship for Essential Workers Act would provide immigrant workers with the security to ensure their rights are respected, they are paid fairly, and have meaningful access to justice if they face labor abuses that are only heightened because they are undocumented.
We are doing everything we can to push Congress and the Biden administration to meet this historic and urgent moment and ensure a pathway to citizenship for domestic workers and other essential workers and their families is a part of a just job recovery plan, and we need your support.
