Rather than investigating the white supremacist mob that stormed the Capitol armed with guns, chemical weapons, and baseball bats, the GOP chose to block the investigation because they know the findings of the investigation would reveal just how badly Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and the entire right-wing media landscape helped fuel the attack.2
The GOP is choosing party over country, violence over peace, and fascism over democracy.
A party this dangerous and this dedicated to white supremacy and autocracy simply cannot gain control of Congress.
This isn't just about winning an election. It's about protecting our democracy.

Democrats currently hold the slimmest congressional majorities in modern American history.3
In the Senate, Democrats hold power by the skin of their teeth—and if they lose even one seat in 2022, Mitch McConnell will again control the Senate.
And in the House, Democrats have a narrow five-seat majority. With all of the recent state-level GOP attacks on voting—plus the new gerrymandering that the GOP is doing across the country—Republicans are currently expected to win the House.4
We can't let it happen.
