All across the country, far-right Republicans are trying to take away people's right to vote. But in Nevada, where Democrats organized and earned a win for Joe Biden and 3 out of 4 congressional seats, Democrats are starting to expand voting rights.
The Nevada state Senate, controlled by Democrats, voted recently to permanently expand voting by mail in the state. In a state with so many rural voters, this is a game changer.
Your support -- talking with friends and family, knocking on doors, making calls, and sending contributions -- made this possible. When we fight to elect progressive Democrats, good things happen.
But, we know that it would only take one election for Republicans to take charge. If Trump's term taught us anything, it's that if you give Republicans power, they will use it to game the system to their advantage.
We can't afford letting any more states be subjected to dirty Republican voter suppression tactics. If we do, Democrats may not get a chance to win an election ever again.
