Protect the Endangered Gulf of Mexico Whale

There are fewer than 50 Gulf of Mexico whales left in the world, and nearly all of them live in the waters of a single canyon off the coast of the Florida panhandle. But marine vessels traveling through this area are routinely striking whales, often injuring—or even killing—them. Make no mistake: If this continues, the species will be driven to extinction. The federal government is legally required to take action under both the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammal Protection Act, but so far, it’s fallen short. Tell the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to step up to save the imperiled Gulf of Mexico Whale before it’s too late.
