Hi John,

A few days ago, I emailed you about the mass shooting in San Jose, California. Before we even had time to grieve, 2 more people were murdered and 21 wounded in yet another mass shooting in Miami. It barely even made the news.

The American gun violence epidemic has us all asking the question: Is our community next?

We have to end gun violence, John, before any more families are mercilessly torn apart.

I'm proud to have co-sponsored commonsense gun violence prevention legislation in the House, but I know that my bills will never be signed into law unless we abolish Mitch McConnell's beloved filibuster.

We can end gun violence in America if we finally eliminate the filibuster, and that starts with meeting our weekly fundraising goal so we can keep building the pressure. We're still $364 short, and missing our goal could put us behind for weeks to come.
