Right now, old-growth forests in British Columbia are under threat from logging.
Greens are urging the federal government to work with First Nations and the province to protect these irreplaceable trees.
Indigenous land rights are under threat from resource extraction and pipeline construction.
Greens know we must respect Indigenous sovereignty over their lands, stand with those defending the land, and permanently centre reconciliation in climate action.
The government’s climate legislation, C-12, lacks substantial emissions targets and a credible climate action plan.
The Green Party will keep pushing for better legislation by working collaboratively.
Today, on World Environment Day, let’s make sure we protect this planet by supporting (and electing!) the climate leaders Canada needs.
