Hey team,

I recently took a short paternity leave after my second child was born. It was so important to me to be there for my family during this critical period — but I know that paid family leave isn’t available to many Americans.

The U.S. is the only country in our peer group without a national paid leave policy. And the pandemic has only underscored the need to support our families by making paid family leave available to all Americans.

That’s why I support President Biden’s American Families Plan, which would:

👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 Provide up to 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave 
🍎 Establish Universal Pre-K for three- and four-year-olds 
🎓 Give two years of free community college to all Americans
📚 Increase the maximum Pell Grant award
