During my time in the Virginia House of Delegates, we’ve expanded Medicaid to over 500,000 people, abolished the death penalty, legalized marijuana, and ratified the Equal Rights Amendment. Finally.

But we still have so far to go. As a single mother, I’ve struggled like so many folks with finding adequate health insurance, housing, and a good job that pays the bills. The public health and economic crises of the past year show just how many people are struggling, and how much work we have left to do.
