John,
In just ONE WEEK, poll sites will open for early voting. Now is the time to make your plan to vote!
New Yorkers have three choices for how to vote this year:
Absentee/by-mail: Ballots are already in the mail, and you can request yours up until June 15. Ballots must be postmarked by June 22 to be counted. Request an absentee ballot here [[link removed]] and track yours here [[link removed]] .
Early voting: In-person early voting starts on June 12 and goes through June 20th. Your early voting poll site is different from your regular election day poll site and the hours vary, so make sure to look up where you need to go, and check the hours here [[link removed]] .
Election day voting: Polls will be open from 6 am to 9 pm on June 22. Check your poll site here [[link removed]] .
More choices about how and when to vote isn’t the only thing that is different this year. New Yorkers will also have the chance to rank up to 5 candidates for each of the municipal elections. Learn more about ranked choice voting here. [[link removed]]
With Mayor, Comptroller, Public Advocate, and City Council all on the ballot this year, this is one of the most important elections in NYC history. Make sure you have a plan to vote.
