Dear John,

What is economic conservatism?

There was a straightforward answer to that question in the 1980s.

But it didn’t come about easily.

Leaders and thinkers from all corners of the right had the hard conversations to figure out how to apply enduring principles to their particular time and place.

Today we face new economic threats both at home and abroad.

So it’s time for conservatives to come together again to have those difficult conversations. We need to answer the question What does a conservative approach to the economy look like today?

I hope you’ll join us in that conversation at The Future of American Political Economy Conference ([link removed]) , hosted by ISI.

Join us July 23–24 in Alexandria, Virginia, to see an all-star roster of conservative thought leaders wrestle with the difficult questions about China, Big Tech, and a dwindling middle class.

Registration is free for students. And if you’re under 30, admission to the conference is only $50!
