Most of my career has been dedicated to consumer advocacy. I’ve always
fought against the corporations and special interests that put profit
first at the expense of working families -- especially older adults.
Because of the lack of consumer protections, older adults are often
targeted and taken advantage of by fraudsters. To make it worse, there has
been virtually no way for older Americans to report and resolve these
instances of fraud.
That’s why I’m proud to share that last week, I backed a bipartisan bill
that would make it easier for older adults to both report and resolve
cases of fraud. I’m hopeful that this legislation will pass and help the
thousands of older adults defrauded every year.
Standing against fraud is why I will also never send you a "sky is
falling" email. I will never fake a donation match campaign to increase
donations. And I will never lie to you, John, about where we
stand when it comes to fundraising.
Running an ethical, truth-based campaign that doesn’t accept donations
from corporate PACs or special interests can make it harder to raise the
much-needed funds to defend my seat. But it’s the right thing to do,
John.

operate, could you please consider splitting a donation to my campaign and
the PCCC? Your money won’t be going towards a fake deadline or match
campaign -- just our fights for working families.
Thanks for your support,
