I’ll be honest — this isn’t how I expected to spend my Friday afternoon. But after weeks of watching Biden prioritize negotiations with the violent, anti-democratic Republican Party, we knew we had to do something.

Then yesterday, we got even more bad news: Biden slashed his $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan (which was already a compromise) in HALF, walking back his promise to make corporations pay their fair share in yet another attempt to court GOP senators who couldn’t care less about people like us.

So we did what we do best: Took to the streets and organized a protest outside the White House.

Our protest today was just the beginning. We’re coming back to Washington, D.C. on June 28 to send a clear message to Biden: Our futures are not negotiable. Will you join us? [[link removed]]

We know that a Green New Deal is the only proposal that meets this moment. We know we need a Civilian Climate Corps to create millions of good jobs and a livable future.

So if Biden won’t cave to the demands of our movement, we’re going to have to bring the movement to him.
