Folks,
I've known Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn a long time and I'm proud to call her not just a friend, but my Delegate.
She's delivered countless progressive victories since winning the majority, and I can honestly say for the first time in my life, I'm proud of the Virginia General Assembly.
Not only is the Speaker an incredible leader, she’s also a trailblazer -- Eileen is the first woman and first person of Jewish faith in the 400-year history of Virginia’s legislature to serve as Speaker of the House of Delegates.
Eileen's birthday is tomorrow, so I wanted to take a moment to send around her birthday card. Will you sign Speaker Filler-Corn’s birthday card?
Virginia's legislature flipped blue under the Speaker’s leadership for the first time in a generation and became a national leader in progressive change, implementing policies like abolishing the death penalty, increasing the minimum wage, expanding voting rights and so much more.
Help me wish Speaker Filler-Corn a happy birthday and celebrate her achievements -- click here to sign her card.
Thanks for all that you do,
Congressman Gerry Connolly
