As the father of a teenage daughter, I worry about her safety. However, the one place we as parents should never have to worry about our children’s safety is in school.

I know that the world would be a much better place for our kids and our communities if we passed stronger gun laws and worked to close the loopholes that jeopardize their safety.

But my opponent Jim Jordan has voted against common sense gun measures every opportunity he gets. He doesn’t believe we need background checks to keep violent felons and domestic abusers from getting their hands on guns no questions asked. He even has a perfect A+ rating from the National Rifle Association.

Jim Jordan is more concerned with his corporate donors and special interests groups than addressing the gun violence epidemic in America.

I envision a country where everyone feels safe in public and in their homes, and as your representative in Congress I will fight for common sense gun safety laws.
