| Dear Friend, Nancy Pelosi announced that Democrats would finally begin a formal impeachment inquiry.(1) Now we need to make sure she finishes the job right. To keep the momentum going, we're want to put our famous "IMPEACH" billboard back up over the San Francisco Bay Bridge -- one of the most heavily trafficked highways in America -- demanding that Congress impeach Trump now. Every day since the White House whistleblower story broke, more and more evidence has piled up. The same day that new evidence emerged that he had pressured Ukraine to make up dirt on the Bidens, Trump publicly admitted it and demanded that China do the same.(2) Trump pursued a bogus theory about Ukraine and the 2016 election that one top aid repeatedly told him was completely untrue.(3) He's launched vicious attacks on the whistleblower, and his administration has been caught covering up his crimes by hiding evidence on government servers intended for highly confidential national security information. And as Congress inches closer to the truth, Trump careens further out of control right before our eyes: on Twitter, in White House lawn tirades, and even in the middle of a meeting with the president of Finland. He started with a basic unfitness for office, but now it has peaked.(4) It's never been clearer: for the good of the country, Donald Trump must be impeached -- and polls now say that a majority of American agree.(5) But while the impeachment inquiry is now supported by a majority in the House, only 28 members have said they support actual impeachment. And there’s no guarantee that Speaker Nancy Pelosi will follow through on impeachment once congressional investigations are complete.(6) In 2017, when almost no one was talking seriously about impeachment, Courage Campaign put a billboard up over the Bay Bridge with the word "IMPEACH" on it. The billboard generated massive press coverage and put the issue on the agenda. Now it's happening, and we need to keep up the momentum. That's why if we can raise enough money we'll put our billboard back up on the Bay Bridge demanding that Congress catch up and impeach Trump now.
