I've only been on the ground a week, but it's already clear to me why hardworking Michigan families have continued to support Haley as their tireless advocate in Congress. Haley has forged strong bonds with all members of her community -- everyone knows they can count on her to protect jobs, invest in innovation, and deliver real results.

I’ve also been reviewing the state of our race. We’re one of the closest battleground districts in the country, and national Republicans think that their path to taking back the House leads through MI-11.

I’m looking back at past election cycles and seeing millions of dollars spent on deceptive attack ads and nasty underhanded tactics. I’m confident that with national Republicans only 5 seats away from flipping the House Majority, we’ll be seeing even worse this time around. We have to be ready -- and our best chance to prepare is right now.
