20/20 is the weekly look inside on Senator Cornyn’s work around our great
state. You’ll find updates on how the Senator’s field team is building the
largest grassroots team in the state, and how others like you have already
gotten involved. We are bringing you everything you need to know about 2020,
the biggest test Texas Republicans have ever faced!
Want to get involved yourself? Reach out to your local Regional Director
listed at the bottom of the page. We need you to sign up for a block walk,
phone bank or a Cornyn Academy today to support Senator Cornyn and the entire
Republican ballot.
The Senator on the Trail

Biennial Convention (PC: @SenJaneNelson)
Senator Cornyn was excited to travel all around Texas last week! He led
several round tables on mental health, one with Judge Margaret Jones-Johnson at
the Dallas County Mental Illness Court and another in the Permian Basin. From
there, he travelled to UTSA to discuss the newly expanded GI Bill scholarship
for veterans pursuing STEM degrees. Continuing his work for our armed forces,
Senator Cornyn then joined Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp to announce a new
$65million grant from the US Army for TAMU to research new technologies at the
Army Futures Command. Finally, the Senator joined Dell employees at their
headquarters in Austin to celebrate the hundreds of new jobs that his fight for
tax cuts has brought to the area.
A highlight of the week was when the Senator was able to join other
conservative leaders at the TFRW convention in Galveston, including Gov. Greg
Abbott, Sen. Ted Cruz, and many others. There he spoke about the importance of
beating back the impeachment efforts of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer.

The Houston team can’t be stopped! They travelled to Galveston this week to
join the Senator and over 700 TFRW members at the biennial convention. We saw
hundreds of our friends and allies there; many of which we have met in their
local clubs. We spoke with attendees about the importance of female voters and
volunteers for the Republican Party in 2020.
Reach out to the Regional Director, William Little, today to setup a
one-on-one meeting to hear more about our team and strategy (

The Dallas team is proving the strength of their field program around the
county. We saw a lot of you this week at events with MavPAC, Texas Asian
Republican Assembly, and the Greater Irving Republican Club. The team didn’t
stop there and finished off the week strong with a bunch of our friends
becoming new team members at a Cornyn Academy. Can we count on you to join them
at the next Cornyn Academy? For details, please reach out to our Regional
Director of Dallas County, Travis Reynolds (

Fort Worth Area
Regional Director of Tarrant County, Jacob Bywaters, with the newest members
of Team Cornyn (PC: @JacobBywaters)
Fort Worth is getting serious about their ground game as we approach the
one-year mark to Election Day! They are hard at work under the leadership of
Regional Director of Tarrant County, Jacob Bywaters, in expanding the team and
reaching out to the community. Jacob held a huge Cornyn Academy this Saturday
to add 25 new team members. There, the new team members discussed the strategy
for the campaign and learned how to be more effective grassroots activists.
Can we count on you to make the same commitment your neighbors are making?

Central Texas
The newest members of the Central Texas TSJC field team on Saturday in
Georgetown (PC: @FultonMack)
The Central Texas team proved that nobody takes the ground game as serious as
our friends in Williamson and Bell county! The team was out in force this week
at the campaign kickoff for Rep. John Carter. The Carter campaign is one of our
strongest partners in the state and have proven they are just as invested in
full-ballot strength as the Senator is.
The Cornyn team gathered on Saturday to welcome 14 new members at a Cornyn
Academy. We discussed campaign strategy and the importance of Williamson county
to our great state. Make sure you are signed up for the next date by reaching
out to our Regional Director, Mack Fulton (

Saturday (PC: @Hernandez_99)
Our Denton team members were everywhere this week. Regional Director, Mason
Morgan, and his team were registering voters at the Lewisville Western Days.
They truly understand the importance of building the Republican voting base to
the benefit of all our candidates. Mason was also spending his time meeting
one-on-one with grassroots activists and talking through our strategy for the
county and opportunities to get more involved in the team. If you would like to
schedule a meeting with him please reach out

The Denton team wrapped up an impressive week with a Cornyn Academy in
Lewisville. 12 new team members joined us for their training and first block
walks.
