It’s LGBTQ+ History Month – a time to celebrate the extraordinary contributions made by members of the LGBTQ+ community.

We’ve made strides to ensure equality for all – but there’s still a long way to go. House Democrats passed the Equality Act this summer, but Mitch McConnell is blocking our progress.

Sharice and her Democratic colleagues in the House took a big step in ensuring equal protections for the LGBTQ+ community when they passed the Equality Act.

But LGBTQ+ folks still do not enjoy the same legal protections under the law. In fact, in many states, someone can be fired just for being gay or transgender. This is unacceptable.

Senate Republicans must stop obstructing and pass the Equality Act to end this discrimination. It’s time to show the groundswell of support for the LGBTQ+ community – will you join us?
