I knew things were bad, friend, but this is ridiculous: I just read that 1 in 5 pieces of U.S. mail is now arriving late thanks to Postmaster General DeJoy's failing leadership. That's 1 in 5 prescriptions, Social Security checks, bills and payments ... and it's truly unacceptable.
The American people deserve better, and that's why I wanted to make sure you had a chance to weigh in on this critical issue. Friend – From attacking vote-by-mail to promising to veto any legislation that included emergency Postal Service funding, Donald Trump was an absolute nightmare for the United States Postal Service.
And now, even though Trump is gone, we're stuck with his megadonor postmaster general, Louis DeJoy – who is unapologetic about his attempts to undermine the USPS by slowing down delivery times and attempting to raise prices. This is utterly unacceptable.
But now, we have a big opportunity: President Biden nominated three candidates to the Postal Service Board of Governors, which gives us a chance to FINALLY remove Louis DeJoy and get the USPS back on track.
That's why we urgently need to know where top Democrats stand on this critical issue. We need another 38 responses from xxxxxx before midnight, and we still haven't heard from you. So please, friend, tell us now:
