Less than a year ago we celebrated a momentous victory as the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a dangerous Louisiana admitting privileges law in our case, June Medical Services v. Russo. As a Center supporter, you know that this wasn't our first time before the Court—and now we know it won't be our last.

Mississippi isn't the only state taking aim at abortion access. In fact, in the same week the Court agreed to hear our case, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a law banning abortion as early as just six weeks of pregnancy — before many people even know they are pregnant.

So far, more than 500 new abortion restrictions have been introduced in state legislatures this year. Of those, 61 have been enacted, putting 2021 on track to be the most damaging state legislative session for abortion in decades.
