ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Despite strong economic growth, California continues to experience high rates of poverty. Backed by strong fiscal reserves, state policymakers have taken several steps to assist struggling families, but the goal of reducing poverty remains elusive. In this conversation, PPIC will share the latest data from the California Poverty Measure, and a panel of experts will discuss the implications for decision makers, stakeholders, and families across the state—and what more needs to be done.

This research was supported with funding from the California Wellness Foundation and the James Irvine Foundation.
