Teen Helps Biscuit Find Sanctuary
Tyler was searching for a car when she found a
pint-sized ram-the sheep kind, not the truck kind. He'd been
with his mom and at least one younger brother in a barn stall at the
back of a pop-up car lot. Now that they were gone, only Biscuit
remained. He was huddled alone and trembling with fear.
The self-professed animal lover climbed right
into his crate to take a closer look. "I could tell right off
the bat that he was blind," Tyler said. "I sat down, and he got
right in my lap. He knew that I was good."

Brotherly love at the Sanctuary
We love seeing these two brother cows
snuggling without a care in the world! Leigh & Michael Morgan fell off
a transport truck on their way to a veal slaughter facility, escaping
a violent fate. Now, they serve as ambassadors for the billions of
other animals whose short lives are hidden from view. Take a minute to
enjoy this quiet moment of peace and bonding.

Sanctuary Speaker Series: JoVonna & Eugene Cooke of "Grow Where
You Are"
Save the date! In our next Sanctuary
Speaker Series (6/17), JoVonna and Eugene Cooke will share the
positive impact local farming efforts have on households, communities,
our planet, and our hearts: "We've got to care for one
another...the violence that is constantly being projected at us, to
make us believe that it is the overriding energy on the
planet-when it is not. The overriding energy on this planet is
cooperation and unity."
