transform our criminal-legal system and to save Black lives. Now, she's
preparing legislation to do just that by transforming our approach to
policing and public safety.

But, before Cori introduces her bill in just a couple of weeks, she asked
for our help. We need to decide on a name.

Cori has been helping lead the fight in Congress to end police brutality
and racist systems of oppression since day one.

The results from our last Defund the Police survey have made it clear that
this team is ready to fight too with Cori. A majority of you told us that
you’re ready to work with Cori to defund the police in our communities and
reinvest in addiction and mental health treatments. That's why Cori's bill
will prioritize investing in our communities and keeping people safe.

John, Cori won
her election and defeated the establishment through people-power. Now,
she's counting on people-power again to help make this bill become a
reality and make our communities safer.
