John,
Let’s face the facts: gun violence is a public health crisis.
From the Virginia Tech massacre in 2007, to the Virginia Beach shooting in 2019, Virginia has faced far too many horrific acts of gun violence.
We aren’t alone. Since 1968, More Americans have been killed by guns than in all American wars — combined.
The truth is that it doesn’t have to be this way. From banning the sale of assault weapons to strengthening laws on background checks, there are simple actions we can take RIGHT NOW to protect communities in Virginia and across our country.
It’s time to ban the sale of assault weapons so we can finally protect our communities. Will you add your name if you agree?

Friend, I’ve never been afraid to take on far-right extremists who want to turn our streets into war-zones. As Virginia’s Governor, I proposed a dozen gun safety laws. I vetoed every radical Republican bill that would have weakened gun safety in the Commonwealth.
I’m proud to be the first ever southern Governor elected after proudly running on an “F” rating from the NRA. I wear it as a badge of honor that the NRA is already running attack ads against me in the 2021 Governor’s race.
They’re trying to silence me so my Trump-backed Republican opponent Glenn Youngkin can win and implement their radical agenda.
Will you add your name and join me in standing up to the NRA? We can’t let them intimidate us into silence.

The NRA headquarters are here in Virginia. If we can stand up to them and enact real reform here, we can stop them anywhere.
Thanks for your support,
