John,
The U.S. is the wealthiest country on earth. Yet so many of us are still struggling to get by and wearing ourselves thin.
But we have the vision and the potential to put millions of jobless Americans to work to build their communities back stronger — strong enough to fight climate injustice.
That’s why I’m fighting for the Green New Deal: To pull us back from the edge of climate catastrophe, guarantee good jobs for all, and allow my generation to build a future for our safety, security, and survival.
Right now, I’m marching 266 miles across California to demand Congress pass the first piece of the Green New Deal. The first piece of transformative climate policy is in sight — but we need your help to make it to the end. Will you show solidarity with us by taking action this weekend from wherever you are?
Marchers at our kick-off event last Friday in Paradise, CA.
The climate crisis is not an accident. It’s an intentional choice by corporations and our government to put their profits over our people. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
So we’re bringing the heat until they feel it too. We’re marching across a droughted California, carrying the stories of local climate refugees and the ashes of their homes. We’re marching 266 miles to deliver our vision for a Green New Deal and a Civilian Climate Corps directly to Nancy Pelosi and Dianne Feinstein.
Our marchers are pressing on through record floods and heatwaves, but we need your help to make it to the finish line. In order to get our elected officials to put climate justice front and center, we’re going to need support from every corner of the movement.

TAKE ACTION
My left foot for my home, my right for my people, pointed towards a victory I know is within reach: Good jobs, a livable future, and the Green New Deal.
See you out there,
Nikayla, Sunrise
P.S. If you’re in the San Francisco area, we want you to be there when our march reaches the Golden Gate Bridge. June 14. 11:00 am PST. See you there 👀
