Hi John—I wanted to send you a quick update on Truth to Power’s fundraising from May.
Thanks to this team, we were able to reach our goal of raising $15,000 for our work in building up progressive candidates who will center families and working folks in their leadership.
I know that at Truth to Power, we talk a lot about the future—especially right now when the 2022 midterms are a year away. But the truth is, being involved in politics isn’t a seasonal trend; it’s not like a pumpkin spice latte. So trust me when I say that your support now is really important, too.
Because of it, we’re able to make the smartest decisions and investments possible so that our endorsees can be competitive with their opponents that are backed by big money interests. We’re able to fully dig into the work to make sure we’re in the best possible position for 2022 and beyond.
And even though we’re starting to plan for the future now, John, there’s still so much work left to do. Many leaders currently serving the American people don’t have their best interests at heart. Families and working folks are starting to imagine a life after the coronavirus pandemic, and there's a lot of trust that’s been lost in leadership over the past year.
And if we want to continue our trajectory of making progress, unseat these corrupt leaders, and bring new leaders who will fight for working families alongside me—we’ll need to do the work, together.
