John,

Our exciting annual Monthly Donor Competition has come to an end after a tremendous week! Ten of our local affiliates put in serious work and hustled to raise grassroot dollars. We are blown away by the results of our BIGGEST competition yet:

In total, our network raised $8,923 in monthly dollars in one week. That’s $107,070 annually in NEW, sustainable, people-powered dollars — the most in competition history! These monthly donors keep our organizations’ doors open year-round and cycle after cycle, fueling a nationwide youth-led movement. The Alliance will be dishing out one-time prizes to increase the impact of these monthly dollars. Top prizes will go towards the four organizations that raised more than 1% of their budget in a week, totaling almost $20,000. Not only that, but organizations that made the most calls, had the best digital engagement, and converted one-time donors to sustainers will also receive prizes. Our organizations will also be able to access additional prize funds for creating a sustainability plan for maintaining their program and retaining monthly donors into next year.

A huge thank you to those that supported our affiliates and became monthly sustainers. Movements are built by bringing more people in and coming together to work for change. With a community of dedicated supporters our network can count on, we can focus on building an equitable and democratic society worthy of our generation.

And of course — thank you and congrats to volunteers, staff, fellows, and board members that were a huge part of the success that our organizations had this week.

With gratitude,
Scarlett Jimenez
