Hi there --

Thanks to all your efforts in 2020, we flipped the Senate blue and made possible all the progress the Biden administration is building. But we barely scraped by last year -- in 2022, Democrats need to dream bigger and expand our Senate majority.

Here's something that may surprise you, team: The road to building the Democratic majority in the Senate runs through Kentucky.

The Bluegrass State is home to one of the most progressive, inspiring figures in the Democratic Party: Charles Booker. He's announced plans to take on incumbent Sen. Rand Paul. Let's break down this race.

Rand Paul exemplifies all the worst parts of today's radical Republican Party.
+ He consistently votes for cuts to vital government services like Medicaid and Social Security, even though he voted for the Trump tax cut that added over $1 trillion to the deficit
+ He blocked legislation that would have made lynching a federal hate crime
+ He announced he would vote to throw out Trump's second impeachment trial before it even began, despite being in the building on January 6 when insurrectionists stormed the Capitol

Paul's opponent, Charles Booker, is exactly the kind of progressive we need in DC to build America back in a post-COVID world and to address the challenges facing our country. Booker is a champion for racial, environmental, and economic justice who is focused on bringing progressive priorities like affordable health care and a Green New Deal to Washington.

Booker already has the support of some of the top progressive leaders in the Democratic Party. Cori Bush tweeted her support, and Bernie Sanders appeared at a rally in Louisville with him, where Sanders said, “Boy, do we need progressive voices like Charles' in the U.S. Senate.”

This is going to be a tough campaign, no doubt. But in Booker's own words, “We have not seen a potential candidate like me challenge someone like Rand Paul in Kentucky's history. So, if anyone thinks that this is the same old, they are not paying attention.”

We're paying attention, friend, and we know you are too. That's why we're already getting ready to turn Kentucky blue in 2022. You can help us by sending a contribution of just $10 or $25 today to help Charles Booker get everything he needs to beat Rand Paul -- from field organizers to yard signs. Can you send a contribution right now to replace one of the most vile Republicans with Booker's progressive vision for our country? >> [link removed]
