This month, we celebrate our autistic friends in the LGBTQ+ community
and recognize that diversity is all about embracing people of
different races, ages, genders and sexual orientations. We encourage
our community to live proudly and authentically and show love and
respect to the diverse community who make this world a better place.

In this edition of E-Speaks, you'll hear members of the autism
and LGBTQ+ communities talk about what Pride Month means to them and
the importance of continuing to make strides towards equality for all.
You can also read a special Pride Month blog from disability advocate
and blogger Brigid R. who chronicles her detailed research into
the intersectionality of LGBTQ/autism.

In our own words: what Pride Month means to me

Mark W., 29, Karen W., 29, Jose J., 22 and Sarah G., 35, share how
their autism and journey as members of the LGBTQ+ communities have
helped to provide them with unique perspectives on life, love and
finding happiness. This Pride Month, they'd like to share their
stories with hopes of inspiring further understanding, acceptance and
support: [link removed]

LGBTQ+ Information and Resources

It's Pride Month! Did you know that research about the intersection of sexuality and gender identity with autism, while a relatively new field, has uncovered meaningful findings about the experience of autistic LGBTQ+ people? Visit our LGBTQ+ Information and resource page to hear more about these findings, read profiles about people in the autism and LGBTQ+ communities and explore other resources: [link removed]

Pride in Yourself

In a new blog post, Brigid shares about living her truth as an
