Race + Power Weekly

Becoming Sovereign

This week in Race + Power we publish our first piece from our newly updated magazine on the role of personal sovereignty in liberation work. And we want to know what you think about it. We also have two video excerpts from Resist’s Justice Is Essential series featuring Barbara Smith, founder of the Combahee River Collective, and Joshua Allen of the Black Excellence Collective. They share personal and collective stories of how queer people have been at the forefront of asserting personal sovereignty in order to survive, thrive, and catalyze social change.
