Retiring Baby-boomers Own Half of Small Businesses in America

So what happens when those baby-boomers retire? 

And what happens to the communities--employees, customers, vendors--if the retiring business owners shut down their businesses? 

The tax base and prosperity of cities and counties depend on the vibrant commerce they can produce. The employees of one small business are the customers of another small business in that same county.
