Hi John,
Since the summer of 2020, the Left has demanded to defund our police. Those cries have not only produced an exodus of uniformed officers leaving the force, but also a wave of increased crime. According to a recently published Politico article, violent crime is on the rise across the country. Murder rates, robberies, and other associated crimes have increased by 25% in the U.S. — the largest jump in nearly 60 years. New York’s murder rate has jumped 50%, and Los Angeles is looking at a 35% increase in murders.
Cities that cut funding for law enforcement have scrambled to build it back into their budgets in a desperate attempt to ‘take back their cities.’ However, too much damage has already been done. Liberals have stolen the confidence and support law enforcement once held in these cities — making them targets. While crime runs rampant, the Left continues to champion the defunding of our law enforcement.
Fortunately, conservatives have consistently held to their belief in and support of our brave women and men in blue. No matter the political affiliation of the communities they serve, good police officers put the safety of Americans first. We will continue to fight to fund and support our law enforcement throughout the country.
Sincerely,
Casey
