John,
The “new Nestlé” is stealing water from the extremely rare San Bernardino
   flying squirrel.

   new Nestlé’s corporate greed.
This rare flying squirrel lives in California’s San Bernardino National
Forest, which is currently in an extreme drought and facing a wildfire
season that could be even more devastating than last year’s.
Every drop of water is needed to protect the San Bernardino flying
squirrel’s home. And yet BlueTriton, the company that bought Nestlé’s
North America bottling business, is continuing to pump out millions of
gallons of water for its own profit.
The US Forest Service has the power to stop BlueTriton’s water operation
for good. So next week we’re hand-delivering a petition to them demanding
that they protect the San Bernardino National Forest’s life-saving water
   supply from BlueTriton’s greed.

California is battling an extreme drought that could make this year’s fire
season even more devastating than last year’s. Every drop of its water is
   precious.

   John,
For years, SumOfUs members like you have been fighting Nestlé’s corporate
water grab. But now that Nestlé has sold its North America bottling
business, there is a new water thief in town: BlueTriton.
BlueTriton could be even more dangerous than Nestlé. The company has just
ignored a “cease and desist” order from water regulators, and is
continuing to steal millions of gallons of water from public lands in San
   Bernardino, California.
The drought in California is hitting extreme levels right as the fire
season is about to begin. That’s why it’s more important than ever to
protect the San Bernardino National Forest water supply from BlueTriton’s
   greed.
[ [link removed] ]Sign this petition to stop BlueTriton from pumping out water for
bottling that should be saved for stopping deadly forest fires.
Together we can shine a spotlight on BlueTriton’s sneaky water thievery,
and put a stop to its unauthorized water removal once and for all.
The US Forest Service gave Nestlé a permit to occupy public lands, but
that permit does not transfer to BlueTriton. If the US Forest Service
denies BlueTriton’s permit and orders the company to remove all bottling
infrastructure from public lands, the company will no longer be able to
keep extracting water from the national forest.
In two weeks, we will hand deliver this petition to the US Forest Service
headquarters in Washington, DC. But in order to grab their attention, we
   need 100,000 signatures.
[ [link removed] ]Will you add your name to demand that the US Forest Service protect the
San Bernardino National Forest’s life-saving water supply?
SumOfUs members have gone head to head with Nestlé all over the world and
won. Together we forced them to sell all of their North America water
assets. And we will win against our new foe, too.
If we can convince the US Forest Service to deny BlueTriton’s permit to
occupy public lands for water extraction, it will set a precedent across
North America for protecting water from corporate greed.
