But there’s something else that’s on my mind first: We’re pacing behind our July fundraising goal. We’re over 50% of the way through July, but we’re not 50% to our goal.
Unlike other candidates, Elizabeth relies solely on people who chip in a little bit at a time. No fancy fundraisers that cost thousands a plate. Instead, this campaign is funded 100% by the grassroots, with an average contribution of just $28.
This race is quickly picking up steam, and we need to keep the momentum up so that Elizabeth’s voice doesn’t get lost among the 19 other candidates who will also take the stage at the end of the month.
We also need to make sure we have the resources necessary in these critical moments when all eyes are on the campaign — so we can capture the moment and turn it into organizing power.
