There are nearly 400 voter suppression bills making their way through 48 states right now. That’s dangerous for democracy.

After folks like you turned out in historic numbers to elect a Democratic majority in Washington, many national Republicans are working to suppress access to the ballot box in states across the country.

When Mitch McConnell was in charge of the Senate, he let over 500 (yes, 500!) bills collect dust on his desk — one of them being the For the People Act.

The For the People Act would work to expand voting rights, get dark money out of politics, and strengthen our democracy. No wonder McConnell doesn’t want it passed.

Given our 50-50 split in the Senate, passing this bill will be a fight. One single vote could make the difference between the critical reforms our country needs or stalled progress from Republican inaction. That’s why we need your voice to help turn up the pressure.
