Folks, we did it!

We’re officially sending Melanie Stansbury to Congress after yesterday’s resounding victory in the special election. Now, Melanie will join us in the fight to help our country recover and rebuild.

National Republicans and right-wing special interests went all-in on this race on a strategy designed to appeal to extremist elements of their party. Democrats responded by talking about our continued plans to end this pandemic, create good-paying jobs, and so much more.

And the message is clear: what the American people want are elected officials who are committed to bringing our country back together — and they will continue to reject politicians who spread lies and fear.

Now, we must move forward to make sure we hold enough House and Senate seats in 2022 to keep our majority out of the hands of Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, and Donald Trump.
