Dear John,
As the daughter of immigrant entrepreneurs, I could not be more proud to work on an initiative that acknowledges their existence and opens the opportunity for many more individuals like them to prosper. For over ten years, I’ve had the privilege of working with Immigrants Rising on incredible opportunities like the Entrepreneurship Fund Kickstarter Grants, which pioneered an income generation model for undocumented immigrants, and more recently, Spark, the online entrepreneurship hub powered by Immigrants Rising.
Through the state of California’s SEED Grant program, Immigrants Rising is now leading a coalition of eight partner organizations serving various constituencies across the state and will be making microgrants totaling $4.06 million to over 650 undocumented entrepreneurs in California.
Immigrants Rising will bring together Ahri Center, Central Valley Immigrant Integration Collaborative (CVIIC), Dreamers in Tech, Familia: Trans Queer Liberation Movement, Inclusive Action for the City, La Cocina, Pilipino Workers Center, and the UndocuBlack Network to build economic resilience for entrepreneurs breaking new ground in California.
Together, we are leading the way forward through these difficult times and bolstering resilience with the communities we have served for many years. The SEED Grant will not only enable us to provide financial support, we will also be able to offer in-language training and technical assistance in English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Korean through Spark, our online entrepreneurship hub.
Be the first to learn about the launch of the program and the application process here!
With gratitude,
Iliana
