Abortion is healthcare, and so many physicians across the country have put their safety on the line in order to do their job.
John,
This week marks twelve years since George Tiller, a physician from Wichita, Kansas, was murdered by an anti-abortion extremist.
Abortion is healthcare, and so many physicians across the country have put their safety on the line to do their job. That’s why we’re putting together a thank you card for abortion providers — add your name here. ([link removed])
The assassination of George Tiller didn’t happen generations ago — it happened in 2009, with countless attempts to harm abortion providers across the country since then. Every day, providers, clinic escorts, and staff cross picket lines and brave the risks that come with helping people plan their families.
And now, with the future of Roe v. Wade facing a conservative court and extreme uncertainty, the work we do to ensure we don’t go back to the dangerous ways of the past is more important than ever.
Reproductive freedom is possible in part thanks to the doctors who are willing to do their job and support their patients’ decisions. Show your appreciation by adding your name here. ([link removed])
