Greetings,

The online event, Art for Justice Celebrates Julie Mehretu and the Art of Ending Mass Incarceration, took place on May 26. Julie debuted the massive canvas she generously donated to benefit the Fund’s grantee partners. The painting is being auctioned via Artsy (ends June 10). One hundred percent of proceeds will directly support the artists and advocates who are transforming the criminal legal system to secure a safe and healthy future for all.

The event featured conversations with Julie, Agnes Gund and Darren Walker; a performance by Grammy-Award winner, Rhiannon Giddens; and a thoughtful exchange between artist Sherrill Roland and justice advocate Syrita Steib.
