We talk a lot about early investments and how hitting our fundraising goals early on can be more beneficial than a last-minute donation weeks before an election. When we hit our fundraising goals early on, we have more resources to fund our advertising program, meet with voters, and fight back against attacks from my opponents.

That's why I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you today. Thanks to your support and generosity over the last week: we hit our May end-of-month fundraising goal.

Hitting our May fundraising goal is only the first step. The attacks against my record have already begun and we have the resources to fight back in June. But the stakes in our race couldn't be higher.

Fully funded schools, a balanced state budget, and rebuilding our infrastructure could all be on the line if we lose in 2022. As we move forward in this campaign and the attacks against my record continue, our early fundraising numbers will become even more important.

We outdid ourselves last month, but we can't slow down now. Kansas Republicans are ready to take back the governor's office and you're our first line of defense.
