The freedom to vote is fundamental to democracy, but states continue to try to take this away. Just this past weekend Texas joined Arizona, Florida, and Georgia by becoming the most recent state to attempt to pass a bill to restrict this freedom with voter suppression laws.

We’re witnessing an attack on our freedom to vote. As we speak, hurdles are being built — making it increasingly difficult for us to advocate for the kinds of equitable, fair and durable environmental solutions we need.
There is a way for us to stop this though: The For the People Act. This critical piece of legislation is one of the most consequential people-empowering legislation since the Voting Rights Act of 1965, protecting the rights of all voters.
