I’m humbled -- we reached our end-of-month goal thanks to the hard work and generosity of this grassroots team.
Every goal we reach makes us a stronger campaign. And every dollar powers my fight for New Jersey in Congress.
As we start a new month (the last month before the next FEC deadline!), I want to give you a quick rundown of updates you might have missed:
I’m proud to report that two plans I sponsored to provide veterans with crucial resources passed the House. The first measure will protect veterans’ access to educational and job-training benefits and provide a path to affordable education to the families of servicemen and women who gave their lives for our country. The second will connect veterans with service dogs for mental health treatment that has been proven to reduce risk of suicide and post-traumatic stress symptoms.
I also supported a measure to increase protections and equity for pregnant workers. I worked during all four of my pregnancies, and I know firsthand the importance of this legislation to protect the economic security of pregnant workers, protect them against discrimination, and hold employers that refuse to make reasonable accommodations for pregnant employees accountable.
And I have one more update -- a GOP dark-money group launched a new five-figure attack ad campaign against me. With less than a month to go before the all-important FEC end-of-quarter deadline, the attacks are already starting.
