Hi everyone,

We are once again reminding you that our 2021 Local Convention is approaching! This is the meeting where we elect new chapter leaders, make key decisions about the political direction we want to go in, and amend our bylaws. The year since our last convention has been beyond challenging for the world at large, our city, and our chapter. Despite circumstances that at times felt insurmountable, our members have risen to the occasion time and time again, of organizing for worker power in the middle of a pandemic. This Local Council deeply thanks our members and our community for making our chapter even stronger over this past year! As we adapt to ever changing circumstances, we rely on the democratic input of our members to help us become an even stronger vehicle for the working class. We aim for this year's convention to set the tone for a year of worker power!

Intro to Abolition

Thursday, June 3rd, 2021 @ 7 PM

What is abolition? Why should socialists care about abolition? Join the Abolition Working Group on June 3rd at 8 pm EST for an introductory call that answers these questions on why this work matters, how socialism and abolition go hand in hand, and how you can plug your chapter in going forward. Abolition Working Group members will be joined by organizers Andrea James from Families for Justice as Healing and Rukia Lumumba, founder of the People's Advocacy Institute.
